Who we are
SILI Squishies is a South African online shop operated by its owners. You can contact us at silisquishies@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at +27 82 421 4037.
What information we collect
When you place or discuss an order with us, we may receive your name, phone number, delivery details, order contents, payment status and the messages you send us. We collect only the information needed to confirm, deliver and support your order. This website does not currently operate an email mailing list or customer account system.
How and why we use it
We use your information to prepare invoices, process and deliver orders, provide tracking and customer support, prevent fraud, keep required business records and comply with South African law. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Services involved in an order
Checkout is completed through WhatsApp. Delivery is arranged through PUDO, and payment may be completed through the payment method or secure payment link confirmed on your invoice. We share only the information those providers need to perform their service. We will never ask you to send a card number, PIN, password or one-time PIN over WhatsApp.
Your shopping bag
Your cart is stored in your own browser (local storage) so it is there when you come back. It stays on your device and is not sent to us until you choose to check out on WhatsApp.
Cookies and tracking
We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting and security provider may use essential security cookies to protect the website. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which causes your browser to connect to Google. Your cart uses browser local storage rather than a tracking cookie.
How long we keep information
We keep order, invoice and delivery records only for as long as they are needed for customer service, accounting, dispute handling and legal obligations. WhatsApp conversations are kept only while they remain useful for those purposes.
Children's privacy
Our products may appeal to children, but orders and payments should be completed by a parent, guardian or other responsible adult. We do not knowingly collect children's information for advertising.
Your POPIA rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion where applicable, object to certain processing, or raise a concern. Contact us through our contact page. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
How we protect information
We use HTTPS, restricted website administration, limited data collection and trusted delivery and payment services. No internet service is completely risk-free, but we take reasonable steps to keep the information in our care secure.
